Mike is not just a qualified addiction counsellor; he's a man who has experienced the nightmare of addiction himself. That's why he understands first hand what his clients are going through. Alongside holding an academic honours degree in addiction from Bath University, he also has a degree in life

Hello there! I'm Mike. My list of qualifications, professional and personal experiences, and direct understanding of addictions allow me to bring empathy to the table. Not to mention, my skills can help you follow in my path, showing you a way out of the darkness of addiction and into the light.
My wealth of experience also includes being selected for a key honorary contract within the NHS. This involved assisting in London's sexual health clinics and delivering support as a drug and alcohol specialist advisor for clients experiencing chemical and sexual dependency

Utilising my unique mix of skills, training, and experience, I worked extensively with the LBGTQ community and particularly with those affected by the chemsex trend in London and around the world

In 2017 I left London to work in a specific LGBTQIA rehab in Thailand. This was the only rehab in the world outside of the United states of America that had inclusive treatment for the LGBTQIA population.

During my time there, I designed and facilitated a chemsex abstinence group while also delivering addiction education, relapse prevention skills, and interpersonal group therapy. 1-1 therapy was also an essential part of the program. Furthermore, one-on-one therapy was also an essential part of the program, and I got to work with people in the LGBTQIA community from all over the world and truly make a difference

In July 2020, I returned to London and now work privately with gay and bisexual men who struggle with addiction and/or mental health issues. It is important for me to deliver quality, one-on-one therapy alongside group therapy sessions depending on the needs of each individual client. When working with me, you will find that I am non-judgmental and constantly put my multifaceted skills into use. As a result, I can guide you out of addiction.

Hello there! My name is Mike, I am a passionate and results-driven addiction sexual health counsellor and practitioner. I have been recognised for my proven track record of supporting persons experiencing substance misuse alongside playing an essential role when engaging with community and residential-focused drug and alcohol treatment services

After working for three years in Thailand, I recently returned to London and now work inclusively delivering LGBTQ private counselling. I have an intensive knowledge of working with gay and bisexual men who struggle with addiction and with Chemsex dependency

Additionally, I have a strong passion for facilitating interpersonal group therapy and highly recommend this in conjunction with one-on-one therapy.
During my time in Thailand, I designed and facilitated a specific Chemsex abstinence group for many gay men. This was a much-needed recourse and the main reason they chose an LGBT-specific residential treatment centre.
Currently, I work in association with Twin Rivers Rehab in South Africa when residential treatment is required.

You can learn more about Twin Rivers Rehab here: https://twinriversrehab.co.uk/. I will work with you every step of the way throughout your residential treatment experience, as your well-being is my ultimate goal. Twin Rivers is an LGBTQ-friendly rehab that can offer a safe, nurturing treatment experience at affordable prices

Do you need an extra bit of support when flying to South Africa? I can fly with you! After all, for many of my clients, the most challenging aspect of going for residential treatment is overcoming the fear of getting there. At the same time, I will be available to assist with all your aftercare needs upon your return home, enabling a safe transition back to a life of recovery that is free from addiction.
