What to Expect

If you decide to explore whether we can work together you can expect an assessment session. During this meeting I will assess your needs and whether I feel I am the right therapist for you. You will be assessing whether you feel we can work together. The therapeutic relationship is essential and by definition, not all therapists will suit.
For family members or partners of addicts seeking support for the addict, we might discuss intervention, psychiatric assessment or primary treatment. I have strong relationships with professionals in the field with whom I work closely with and together we can offer a treatment plan to move forward.
If I do not think I can meet your needs then I will support you to find a more suitable pathway.
We would agree upon the frequency of our sessions-usually weekly-and a time period.
Costs will vary depending on: whether the sessions are for an individual or a couple whether we meet during evenings or Saturdays.
I will treat you and my work respectfully and abide by the ethical framework of the Federation of drug and alcohol frame work (fdap) Confidentiality, ongoing professional development and regular supervision on my part in accordance with the BACP guidelines
